LookUP
An E-Mail-address search engine, organized as a white pages directory.  (See search engine).
IP number
A four-part number that identifies a computer on the Internet - "192.111.35.20", for example. (See DNS, URL.)
Iphone- Internet Phone
A unique program that lets you use the Internet to actually talk, in your own voice, to other Internet users around the world. The Iphone software was written by Vocaltech of Israel. (See IRC, Voice chat.)
IRC- Internet Relay Chat
A world-wide network of people talking to each other in real time over the Internet.

IRC server
A computer that runs the IRC software and enables users to hook up, choose a specific channel, and converse in real time with other users.
ISP -Internet Service Provider
A host computer that provides Internet services to any user connected to it.
